Since I've logged twenty-five hours on FFXIII since finallyyyyyy getting to play it on Thursday, I am QUALIFIED TO BABBLE ABOUT IT. Spoilers, of course:

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!1 The four year wait was SO worth it, omg. a;slkdjflz I have so many thoughts on it so have a list of rambling bullets!
★ This game is really, really, really pretty. I knew it was going to be since, well, duh, but holy crap. Trailers on the internet don't do it any justice! I can barely tell the difference between FMV and normal cutscenes, although I'd imagine I could better if the TV I was playing this on was HD. xD But since it's not, most of the font is really, really tiny and I have to practically put my nose to the TV to read anything. I'M GOING BLINDDDD.
But oh man. So pretty. When I was in that cracked out forest-y place with Lightning and Hope, my family was all, "ARE YOU ON PANDORA?!" Well, Leona Lewis does sing both theme songs...>>
★ I genuinely love and adore all of the player characters in this game, which I don't think has ever happened with me. I usually love a character or two and the rest I'm all neutral about, but I love every single one in this game. TRULY A MIRACLE.
★ At this point (at the middle/end of chapter nine [so no spoilers past that, pleeeease]), I'm actually liking Sazh the most. I KNOW, I'M SHOCKED TOO. Whenever I'd be looking up stuff about any of the characters, I always forgot about him. You never really saw him around unless the baby Chocobo was around. xD But his backstory makes me cryyy. The part where Dajh turns into crystal pretty much in Sazh's arms had me bawling. And then when Vanille admits what she did and....a;slkdfj Oh man. I was crying so hard...until I got in the battle against Sazh's Eidolon and had to do it three times. xD
Besides that, though, the man has a chocofro. COME ON. And I love how he keeps calling himself an old man...even though Vanille is older than him. xD
★ I really had no opinion on Snow or Hope - you guys know me, I'm all about the ladies - but I love them both. Snow won me over in his engagement scene with Serah. I squeed so hard and was grinning like a fool like I was their friends or something. xD IT WAS SO CUUUUTE.
And Hope - I know a lot of people think he's a whiner, but hey. He has a very good reason - wouldn't you be upset if your mother died pretty much in front of your eyes? AND HER KILLER WAS RUNNING FREEEE AND A PARTY MEMBER NO LESS. Not that Snow killed Nora, but YEAH. You know what I mean. xD And I love love love him and Lightning, oh man. It's pretty much the cutest thing next to Fanille and a;lskjfz.

★ FANILLE FANILLE FANILLE. A;SKJF;LALKSF "I'll tear down the sky if it means saving Vanille!" Oh Fang, you love your woman. ♥ Unfortunately, my viewing of the boob grab reuniting scene was ruined by my stepmother yapping her brains out. Hmph. T_T
But they're so cute. ♥ I knew they would be, but oh man. Fang, just take her into some secret corner or something.
★ Once I got used to it, I find that I really like the battle system. I've read some reviews where people are all, "IT'S DUMB YOU CAN ONLY CONTROL ONE CHARACTER" but unless you're against something really weak, I don't see where it'd be an advantage to control more than the leader. The battles are so freaking fast even if it takes me five minutes to kill a motorcycle that you'd be dead before all that. It makes me all nervous when I select something other than Auto, since if I'm even a second too late, I'll be dead. ._. LIKE AGAINST BARTHANDELUS. FUCK YOOOOOOU.
★ Speaking of which, does anyone have any hints against that guy? He's that Fal'cie in chapter nine with the four pieces of armor you have to waste five minutes killing and then it doesn't matter because he PWNS YOU ANYWAY. I was at it two hours yesterday and three hours today trying to beat him. ._.
I've got Lightning, Snow, and Hope. COM/RAV/MED for the armor, COM/SEN/SYN or MED/SEN/SYN to get my party all buffed up, COM/RAV/MED until after he staggers, then MED/SEN/MED until he uses that Desperado attack...but that never seems to work because Snow's constantly using Provoke and I'm all, USE STEELGUARD YOU IDIOT AHHHHHHHHHHHH YOU'RE GONNA DIE A;LSDKJF;LZ
I had Fang instead of Snow, but for some reason she was using Mediguard instead of Steelguard. Which still killed me. Hmph.
★ And even though I like the battle system, I don't like that the enemies have SOOOO many hit points. It's ridiculous. I actually haven't died all that much - except for Barthandelus and some boss at the beginning that took me ten tries - but a random enemy shouldn't take five minutes to kill. Seriously. For ONE enemy. If it was a big group, maybe. Bah. And my characters are always as maxed out as they can be since I'm obsessive and keep running back and forth to kill everything. xD
★ The music is so pretty and fabulous. ♥ I've heard it all since I have the soundtrack, but that's nothing compared to hearing it during the game! Lightning's Theme is love. ♥
★ I kinda wish Snow wasn't three times the size of Serah. xD I understand trying to make him the big and buff yet cuddly teddy bear type, but c'mon. She's like this big | | around!
But they're still sooooooooo cute. And so much love. :3
★ I WANT A BABY CHOCOBO PLEASE. ♥
I should really do something other than game my life away, sigh. OH WELL. BOUNCY, I AM THOROUGHLY ENJOYING YOUR PRESENT SO MUCH THAT I CAN'T STOP CAPSLOCKING!!!!11 ♥♥♥
