Dear Journal,
The primary objective to Taiwan was for work. Being in an US company, I would say that the corporate culture is generally similar whether in Taiwan or Singapore. There are many that have been posted to different country to work, but going to another office temporarily to work is a different experience.
Hotel to office is a 5mins walk.
Early morning, I would stop by 7-11 for a City Coffee - a Large Latte.
This is the probably the most boring post amongst all the Taiwan posting, however since I'm blogging about working class.
In a small island, there are about 178 universities in there, almost everyone is a uni grad, thus that why there's a variety show "大學生了沒?“. With that said, there's still a large population of non-grads holding jobs in retail, restaurants, etc. THey hold an average wage of 15k to 20k NTD (approx 750 to 1k SGD).
I don't know many friends working in retails, but I do know some friends working in pubs and nightclubs. Which I would blog about it later on LJ.
Cheers,
