"But all those things happened in Pattaya, not Bangkok!" "What papaya?"

I decided to post more about my adventures in Australia. Because I'm studying there, it is so easy for me to forget that my random adventures and day trips are actually holidays too, at brilliant places I wouldn't like to forget!

Here is a small bunch of photos from my friend Ben's birthday. We took a trip to Hunter Valley, about 2 hours away from Sydney, for the Birthday Boy to buy himself some of his favorite wine. :)

Hunter Valley is famous for vineyards and.. vineyards. Not something I'm very interested in! But it has beautiful views, and is something that one has to go for at least once, so I tagged along! Roach's mum was also in Sydney for a visit so I was invading on a family outing. Oops.

Unfortunately the skies weren't beautifully clear like we hoped, but the clouds were still beautiful! It also cleared up towards the end of the day, thankfully :)

Ben and Roach already had a few favorites on their list to visit since they've been there X times already, and I had also had one on my mind, so we only visited those (out of the hundred over vineyards in Hunter Valley!) By the way, Ben's birthday was in May, and it is by some miracle that I still remember the names of the vineyards we went to!! /proud of self

This was taken at Iron Gate Estate, the best vineyard in their opinion!

The wine tasting session has a special wine that I really enjoyed- we first took a sip of the wine on its own, then had it with some dark chocolate brownies (yum!!!). And the taste of the wine actually does change with the dark chocolate! Really interesting (and yummy, hehe).

The view from outside their tasting room!

But for the best views in the valley...

The Audrey Wilkinson Vineyard is the vineyard to go to. It is situated on top of a hill, so it has an amazing view of the vineyards across the valley! It is so nice that the owner is sick of people telling him how good a view he has.

Okay so I cheated when I bragged about how I remembered all the names of the vineyards. I had to google this one. I typed in "Best View Hunter Valley" and instantly got thousands of hits all talking about this place! That's how beautiful the place is!

Next we headed on a Mosacato Hunt for Roach and I. Haha I guess I am way too uncultured to appreciate anything that isn't pink, bubbly and sweet (and maaybe I can say the same for Roachie too!) I got myself a bottle from Tower Estate, because I tried some from my friend when she went to Hunter Valley! ♥ I really like their moscato because it isn't simply bubbly, it is sparkly. And really yummy and sweet ♥ __ ♥

Roach's favorite moscato came from Gemelli, but unfortunately the moscato this year wasn't as good as the last, so she didn't get any! This place ended up becoming my favorite vineyard.

This was purely because... the owners named the place Gemelli because of their twin babies who grew up with the vineyard. HOW CUTE IS THAT?????? I want to have twins of my own and name something after them too!!!

Okay, finally one picture of the birthday boy! HAHAHA. Let you look cooler for once since it was your birthday.

We then went back to Sydney for a nice dinner with all of our friends then headed back to Roach and Ben's for Durian cake that Roach and I (but secretly just Roach) baked! :D

Yes, it was one incredibly long and exhausting day, but also equally full of happiness and joy :)
