Talismans
My current talismans of choice are:
small rope necklace with tiny TOMS shoes on it. reminds me of writing and small places. appeals to my kid side. makes me feel like I'm on a treasure island and have only a few things with me.
a pentacle necklace I ADORE. I have three, but this is one I keep coming back to. an ouroborous (lj spell check doesn't know this word and I am NOT looking it up right now) with a 5 pointed star. power of snake is very primal, very important. very me, apparently. this necklace likes to come out during the weekend -- I don't wear it all the time.
little 'ditty' of a creative design, tiny silver amulet on a chain. it's a little girly but not overly so. more fae. shaped like a long diamond, with severe curlicues and twisty ends.
Jewelry are one of my primary ways of feeling close to the.. energies I feel most present around me? that's the only way to describe it. they help me tune into an environment and make me feel non-bulkily myself. I prefer silver, or just simple rope like necklaces, and then silver rings.
