Chapter Nine
Project
“Better to wear out than to rust out.” - Bishop Cumberland
“So soon? We just recorded the stupid songs.” Pichaya whined as he rubbed his eyes. He yawned as his brother merely rolled his eyes.
“Is he always this present in the mornings?” asked Yamashita as he gave him a smirk.
Pirath shook his head. “Only during the early mornings, thankfully.”
Pichaya placed his head on his brother’s lap and he placed his hand on his head.
It’s like having a dog, he thought as he stroked and petted his head. Yamashita glanced out the car window to see a little bit of sun barely above the sky scrapers that clouded almost the entire sky. He blinked, adjusting to the light. He felt a head on his shoulder; surprised, he turned to see that Pirath had placed his head on his shoulder. He thought they were cut, smiled, and turned back to rising city that was awakening with the sun.
oooo
When they arrived, Pirath tapped Yamashita’s shoulder.
“Oh, I didn’t realize I fell asleep,” he mumbled as he stretched his arms out. Pichaya once again whined on how early it was. The other didn’t say anything as he got out of the car. Yamashita couldn’t help, but feel butterflies in the pit of his stomach. He wished he knew what caused them.
