Poultry Replacements

Rejection was a hard thing to swallow, Chinen Yuri thought. He knew that Satoshi Ohno, his very reason for joining Johnny's Entertainment, was well past the appropriate age for dating or even consensual sex without it being splattered all over the tabloids and Internet within two seconds of them being out.

It's for my protection, Chinen rationalized. He knew if the circumstances were different, he and his precious Ohno would be together forever. However, Ohno didn't seem that heartbroken over the fact that Chinen couldn't be within 100 m of his person. In fact, Chinen thought that maybe he was overreacting just a bit.

Perhaps vacationing outside of Japan would do a world of good, his bandmates tried to convince him. But all he could think about was Ohno, his precious Ohno. He remembered when he started to have vivid fantasies about the older man. At first, he thought it wasn't normal. Who wanted to imagine themselves with someone over twenty years their senior? But love was blind and Chinen was a fool. Once he expressed his feelings about Ohno to his mother, he half-expected her to be grossed out. Disturbed.

Instead, it was a surprise that he had came to her like that. He remembered she smiled and simply said, "It's time." Now Chinen understood why she had said that. She knew that she already had his father and even though Ohno was amazing, there was absolutely no way he could ever accept his love as a father figure. No, he had be more than a familial figure. He had to be his lover.

Chinen somehow managed to get lost in the busy streets of Seoul. He couldn't understand what anyone was saying. In this country, there were pictures of boy bands and girl bands everywhere. There were some girls dressed in colors (he saw some groups of red, blue, and pink, specifically) but he couldn't understand what they were saying so he didn't think about it too much.

Eventually, his stomach growled. Well, of course he was hungry. He was, after all, Princess Chinen. The other members of Hey Say! JUMP would always joke and criticize him for his constant need to be fed.

"Almost like a princess," Keito once said in English. Chinen always found him annoying but, instead, took what he said and ran with it.

Anyway, Chinen glanced at his watch and apparently Seoul was only a couple hours behind Japan so it was still a little early for lunch but Chinen just had to eat! Even though he had a small body, he's still a growing boy and should eat as much as he could!

However, it seemed that the people had the same idea and there were lines outside the restaurants. He glanced around the area until he found a small restaurant where it seemed that no one was in it. Chinen only decided to go in because he didn't want to deal with troves of fans again while he tried to eat. He had better things to do. Like mourn over a broken heart.

oooo
When he entered, as expected, it seemed to be empty. Except for one lone person who wore a hood in the humidity climate of Seoul during summer. The only reason he couldn't take his eyes off of him was because there was a delicious smell which emitted from the plate before him. His stomach growled louder, letting Chinen know that he still need to be fed - not admiring other people's food, dammit.

He made his way over to where the hooded figure was and sat in front of him. This didn't seem to bother the other as he kept eating the chicken. Chicken? Chinen looked down and confirmed that it was indeed chicken he had on his plate.

"Excuse me," he understood the other person's voice. It sounded kind and gentle, unlike the harsh, cruel yelllings of Ohno. "Would you please not look at my food? It makes me uncomfortable."

Chinen was surprised he understood that much of what he had said - he supposed he did pay attention in his Multi-Language class after all.
