Star Trek was awesome <3 Even Damon liked it :o he'd never seen an episode of the series before.

Just saw this also, and I have to agree with your impressions of the previews especially. Land of the Lost is going to be a travesty; new Terminator looks pretty kickass, and by God there'd better be less Megan Fox in this new Transformers. =[
I got excited at first about the GI Joe one because of the 'zomg Eiffel tower!' scene, and thought it was gonna be a generic sci-fi movie, but then the jumpsuits and the 'black vs white ninja' thing had to pop up. =[[[[

Star Trek was pretty cool! I hadn't watched the series at all, but I was still thoroughly amused and entertained by it, even if I didn't get all the inside jokes. Sign of a good movie!

I've heard that the movie is actually more enjoyable if you aren't a huge Trek fan, because some of the serious Trekkies can't get over the continuity changes, despite there being a perfectly good reason for that.

It's so true. I figured I'd include the links for those who aren't tropers. "Green Skinned Space Babe" is pretty self-explanatory, but "Fridge Logic" isn't.
