I really liked the word choice there. I was expecting "unique" or "unexpected", not "irrelevant". It's like he went, "Shit, what's the complete diametric opposite of blowing shit up? Wait, I got it--SINGING! Goddamn, this is going to be the best anime ever."

You need to just watch SDF Macross already. It is full of stupid camp, bad songs, and abundant QUALITY. I think you'll enjoy it.

And FYI, Hikaru's probably my favorite Macross protagonist.
