The overwhelming preponderance of shippy CG secrets on F!S makes me vaguely uncomfortable. I swear, this fandom isn't filled with shippers, shipping, and shipwars. Goddammit people. I confess it is pretty damn elitist to consider the fandom fascination with who sticks what where to reflect badly upon the fandom general, but uh... Or maybe this fandom was always shit and I've somehow managed to insulate myself from the great majority of the retardation. I dunno.
Finished Torchwood a while ago. How cheap it is to use children like that to provoke an emotional rise out of the viewer. Cheap, albeit effective. Meh. Also, Jack is a massive douchebag. Not for you-know-what but for running away. And how are they going to make a 4th season? Gwen and Jack have angsty UST? Gwen and Rhys' marital sitcom?
Started watching True Blood. Loads of sex. Disturbingly Twilight-ish at points. However, Sookie is more tolerable than Bella because she doesn't sulk and complain all the time. She's also pretty much a redneck social activist in the depths of Louisiana. GayVampire rights, fuck yeah! Jason is the manwhorest of manwhores, Sam is forever doomed to the "friend" ladder, and Bill is so broody it's hilarious.
In other news, juggling work for the lab and attempting to be a decent student for once is a surprisingly large time commitment. Go figure.
