Our EVERY action is always monitored and judged. Is that true? and also what give the bystanders a right to comment or judge?
Why do I ask this?
Last night, on my way home from the gym. I was SO tired and really wanted to quickly get home. I entered the train and it was packed. There was this couple standing. Nothing wrong? The girl hung onto the guy whole journey and the guy was leaning the pole. Thus, making the people standing around not being able to hold onto the pole and when the train jerked a few times. A few people almost lost their balance. The couple just continue hugging each other without caring about what is happening around them.
So I just whipped out my phone and called my friend.
Me : Hi!
Friend : What's up?
Me : Guess what? I am at the zoo!
Friend : At this time? Night Safari ah?
Me : NO. The zoo. Night Safari don't have Koala bears.
Friend : HUH?
Me : Yeah! I am looking at a female Koala bear hugging a male Koala bear and the male Koala bear keep leaning against the pole. Quite territorial.
(slight giggle from a lady next to me listening to my conversation)
Friend : What the hell are you talking about? You sould like you are in a train.
Me : I am! hahahaha...
Friend : Then why you say that you are at the zoo?
(getting angry stares from the girl, she whispers into the guys's ear. The guys shakes his head. The girl gets angry and hits him on the chest.)
Guy : Can you stop talking about us?
Me : I'm sorry. I am talking to my friend. What makes you think I am talking about you? Please do not interrupt my phone call. (after thinking a bit) Thank you.
Friend : You so polite ah?
Me : Must mah. I trying to promote a gracious society.
Friend : Crazy. Don't talk to you already lah. I wanna watch my serial. Bye.
(More angry stares from the couple. I just smiled at them and they finally moved away from the pole. The girl still hugging onto the guy.)
My guess is that the guy had a ragging hard on and so got nothing to cover so use the girl. Or the girl had backbone issues and need the guy to hold her up.
Whatever the reason, you are in public, you are obstructing other commutors. You are open to judging and criticism. I am free to say whatever I want.
I mean, we are all judged ALL the time. even in the privacy of our bedroom. between partners, judging is made based on sexual accomplishments, techniques and stamina.
So if you want to show PSA (Public Show of Affection), you must be willing to be criticised.
Gotta run. Will say more if I still am pissed about it later.
