(no subject)
Very stressful at work right now. People are sick, on vacation or out on medical leave so we're short staffed. I'm not dealing well with it. I think I'll just have my nervous breakdown now instead of waiting until I'm 40. I am also having some PTSD nightmares also. Not fun to be me.
I did get a nice pocket. I gave a person 11 pounds of cotton fabric in exchange for an iPad pocket. Well, she made it a bit too small but my sketchbook and pens fit in it. Plus it has a big red octopus on it! <3 It's awesome. Love it. Well worth the trade. :D
Oh, and I have *finally* heard from the person who was to make my hat. I contacted her through Facebook (which was a pain in the ass) and she claims to have mailed out my hat yesterday. I hope so. She has posted that she has personal issues and since I don't know her very well, I'm not going to ask. My only negative comment would be that she needs to keep better notification to her clients. I don't care that this took a while, she is only one person and has to support herself by taking commissions. However, if some personal issues have come up, just post somewhere so we know. I will let you know what I think of her sewing once I get the item. The stuff she had for sale at AC was nice. I mean, I commissioned her after all.
A coworker's father is very ill so she is off from work tending to him. It kind of had me a bit freaked out about *MY* dad. I came home and went to his bedroom door to check on him. No sound. Oh shit... all kinds of things start running through my head then from inside the room, SNOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE. Whew! He's ok. A little later, I am literally down the hall, with the door partially closed, the laptop whirring and I can still hear that. I don't know about anyone else, but that sound helps me sleep.
Uhm, nothing else really. Just stressed, depressed and tired. So, even though I'm stressed to the gills and ready for a vacation, at least Dad is ok.
