(no subject)
Well, Phlebotomist's daughter had her baby. I would be more joyous were it not for the fact that the new mom isn't even 19 yet, the father of the baby doesn't have a job and they still live with Phleb. However, if everyone knew what having kids meant before they had kids... our species would have been extinct long ago.
I know I say this every year, but I really think I should try to have a booth at the Fairy Festival. I gave a brochure to a coworker, SEB, as she and her husband do chair caning. They could sell chairs, stools, etc. I'm not too sure if they'd appreciate the hippie/pagan atmosphere being good Christians. We were talking one time and she said on her tombstone, it will say, "Went to be with Jesus". I told her mine would read, "BRB". I have Buddhist leanings, sorry. She found humor in it, though, so she is open minded. I would like to set up and sell my stuff. I'd probably use the name La Oubliette and sell toys. I was so disappointed that there weren't many vendors selling toys this year. I keep doodling these monsters so maybe I could make some of them. Maybe some purses, jewelry, hats, blah blah blah. I make too much stuff to fit under one theme. Plus, I just love the idea of calling myself a Thing Maker. I also now have people I could rope into help woman/man a booth.
Geez. I think we should band together and get Dad a hearing aid for Father's Day. I asked him if I wrote "razors" on the shopping list. He said we already have them. I said I used the last one and that the bag was empty so I threw it out. He looked at me as if I had three heads, "Raisins??" NO! ARGH! I can't shave my legs with raisins, Dad. *Rolls eyes*
Yeah, I could bitch about work. I just won't. It doesn't serve any purpose. It just gets me all pissed off when I need to calm down and relax. Next week is going to be hell as my two regular 0600 coworkers are on vacation. *Head desk* Maybe the supervisors will have JKL come in early. Well, no, we'd get into too much trouble.
Anyway, I will let you all know if I do decide to set up at the FF. You all can grade my work and tell me what you think I should charge, etc.
