Dad saw his oncologist yesterday. He has a spot on his left lung, about an inch in size. It could be nothing, it could be cancer again. He goes to see a surgeon this week to schedule to get a biopsy done. Further bulletins as we get information. Right now, we're all rolling with the diagnosis. We've been here before (last time it was the right lung) and he made it through then. He should be ok, now, too. Irony is rampant, however, since my father has never smoked. Ever. I suppose that his lymphoma could cause this. Luckily, what he does know is that it doesn't morph into pancreatic cancer - which is what killed Uncle James in October.
Had a lot of overdoses tonight. Three patients came in for either overdose or to see crisis. Two had cocaine in their system and one had gotten drunk and taken a shitload of Tylenol. Like, 120-something nanograms per milliliter - therapeutic range is between five and thirty. :( If it's an accidental thing, where someone is doing something stupid (meaning, using illegal drugs) I don't feel as sorry for the person as I do for a suicide attempt. This guy was the latter, the other two were the former. :S
I gave the Zen Master a hat. She asked if I would crochet a hat for her because, when she goes camping, her head gets cold. I suppose it won't fit in the sleeping bag. So I bought two skeins of yarn and got to work once I finished the Harf. Took me about three days. I forgot to get a picture of it, though. Sorry. I have another skein of it left over so I'm making another one. Anyone want a lavender hat? 100% wool. :) I also have a stocking cap made with leftover yarn from my Harf. :) If not, I will probably look into charities to donate the hats. I know that the Salvy Am will take 'em. Anyway, I'll keep looking. :)
So, trying to stay positive.
