Thanks to all who gave me wrist circumference measurements. That will help for when I make some more bracelets. :) Of course, I will post photos as I make them.
I received my decal in the mail. It is freaking awesome. Will put it on the car, get a photo or two, and post the pics tomorrow. He does good work. I can't wait to get it on the car. :)
And I know you've been waiting for these so some new FWS:
* 27 year old female who comes to the ER via ambulance for abdominal pain. All her blood tests are fine (the only thing even slightly abnormal was a glucose just over 100). Urine testing shows she has a UTI... and is on benzodiazapines and amphetemines. Well, I'm sure that alone would cause some stomach gurgling... taking downers and uppers at the same time. She should be thankful her liver enzymes were normal. Depending on how much she took and the potency of the drugs, she could have murdered her liver.
* 25 year old male come to ER (drove himself) claiming that he is dizzy, lightheaded and his heart is beating abnormally. OK. I don't get the cardiac results so I don't know if there was any validity to that. We did cardiac lab work/blood tests and all were fine. However, urine tests showed he was on pot and benzodiazapines. Isn't the whole point of taking drugs to make you lightheaded and dizzy? That whole getting high thing. (Yeah, I know, I'm so uncool for not doing drugs. Bite me.) As they say on "Myth Busters", "Well there's yer problem!"
I worry for KPH, the phlebotomist that worked with me last week while regular Phleb was on vacation. KPH called in and didn't come to work this morning. She does this frequently. I worry that she will be fired because of this. Add to that, the third clin tech never showed up either. She didn't call or anything. She's new, today was her first day. Makes me wonder if anyone told her she was on the schedule... this has been happening a lot lately, the whole "I didn't know I was on the schedule" bullshit. I won't go into the reasons behind it as I have no facts, only suspicions. (This is, after all, a public journal for the most part.) I left the only remaining day shift clin tech/phlebotomist a note that read, "TMC is a Wonder Woman!" and signed it from all the laboratory technicians. I can't believe she has to put up with that kind of shit. I don't blame her for looking for another job. She is the one who ALWAYS gets shit upon. I will miss her when she does leave. Anyway, all of that drama made this morning a bit stressful. If people would just show up, be on time and do their job... things would be so much easier. This is why I will never be a manager. I wouldn't be kissing ass, I would be kicking it. If you're sick, fine. If you forget to check the schedule once, fine. Habit forming? Get a new job. I would be the Queen of Assholes were I a supervisor. I know this. That is why I do NOT EVER want to be a manager. EVER. Yeah, the pay is better... but I already have enough stress in my life. Thanks.
Hoping that COM made it through surgery ok. I will miss her posts here. (Arm/shoulder surgery.)
Now to put the decal on the Chevy.
