My colon says hello. It's fine. Actually, the prep, as usual, is the worst part of the procedure. :S Luckily, I didn't have to drink the cooking oil type thing as last time. This year, I was told to take an 8.3 oz bottle of Miralax and dissolve it in a 64 oz Gatorade (electrolyte drink). Not only was it palatable, I enjoyed it. The camping on the can was another story but we'll skip that. Suffice to say, I probably lost a few pounds. :) I plan on gaining those bastards back right quick, though! >:D
All joking and stuff aside, Dr. D. said that it was a remarkable improvement from last year. That there was no visible inflammation but he took a couple of biopsies just to verify it through pathological examination. He wants me to keep the same drug and regimen that I am on since it has helped so much. He said that it was nice to start the morning off (I was the first patient) with such an easy and much improved case.
I also have to admit that, though the nursing staff had to put the IV in my wrist, I'm not having any problems with it. I am a TERRIBLE stick. There are phlebotomists that have nightmares about me. My veins are deep, tiny and roll like Ike and Tina Turner. I told the nurse, go where you have to. I'm fairly used to this. She asked me, "You won't hate me if I put the IV in your wrist, will you?" I told her, no, I won't and if you don't root around, I don't care where you put it. The digging is what hurts but she nailed it after only backing the needle out slightly. Awesome! :D I knew that I was going to be good after that. I also had the same anesthesiologist as last time - a guy named George. He's a freak. I love him. He told me that Dr. D would get to the bottom of my problem. The nurse rolled her eyes. He left before I could get a pun in, though, which is good since I seem to be bottomless when it comes to word play. >:D
Well, there you go. I'm alive. Thanks.
