Thanks for all the comments about yesterdays conundrum. I appreciate it. I will just tell her that I'm not being an asshole... just staying away from the carols. I'm sure she will understand. She's pretty good about things like that. I wasn't sure if it would be acceptable practice.
We're having some extreme weather today. It never fails to make people drive worse than usual... instant idiot drivers - just add water! On the way home, a dude was tailgating me which is not advisable in this weather. We are having torrential rain, strong wind and lots of debris blowing into the roads. So, when I swerved gently and missed the migrating recyclables box, the guy in the Bonneville did not. Looks like he busted his bumper rather well. I hate to say it but, yeah, I laughed. Also, if you are late for work, it's not my fault. Pass me or hit the trash box.
Saw a FAT opossum waddle across the street in front of me. It was really cute. :) The weird thing was that this was in the city of Hanover. Guess they eat trash. I should have caught it to give to "Squidward". She loves them and even had a pet one!
Freaky Work Stories for you:
* Drinking can be bad for you - especially if your blood alcohol level is 0.4. A lethal BAC level is 0.55. We had a 19 year old female who came to us. On second shift, her BAC was tested at 0.45ish!! On my shift, she had gone down to 0.289. (If you are over a 0.08, you are considered impaired and that will get you arrested in the US.) She was also on pot. Yeah, she has a bright future, doesn't she?
* Had a patient with "seizures". So we rush about getting her tests done. Turns out she quit using benzodiazepines cold turkey. Not a good idea. She also has a cerebral accident (stroke or maybe an aneurysm). Not even 50 yet. Oh, and she has Hep. C.
Am working on some more Holiday Wishes. One person asked for art so I'm making an ATC for him. I'll post it once it's done.
