HI AGAIN
Before you proceed any further,
LOOK AT THIS PICTURE. JUST LOOK AT IT. JUST INCREDIBLE, A++++. (They should have brofisted, but that's nitpicking.)
Also, I watched Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure the other day. For the first time ever. Once again: JUST INCREDIBLE, A++++. I'm surprised I didn't end up watching it sooner, considering that Wayne's World and Wayne's World 2 -- believe it or not, the sequel is actually BETTER than the original -- are two of my favourite movies because I'm a dork like that. I'm glad I did, though!
Come to think of it, there are a whole bunch of movies I've never seen, or at least not seen all of, that basically everyone else has. I should get on that, shouldn't I? (hint: This Is Spinal Tap is still the best movie in existence no matter what. One of my fondest memories of Grade 9 is when I gave a presentation to the class on Celtic mythology, and the teacher allowed me to put on an appropriate song after the presentation was over, so I put on "Stonehenge".)
Anyway, Otakon's going to cost me a crazy amount of money... not AS crazy as going to Anime Expo, but still crazy. I'd wait until I have a little more in my savings account, but my next pay week is, well, NEXT week. By then, I might not even be able to book a hotel room any more because it'll be too late. ): I've wanted to go there for at least two years, though, and I've never been to Baltimore in any form. There will be lots of rad people there I'm interested to meet, too. The mighty Captain Osaka may even be able to make it, apparently.
At the same time, there is also lots of stuff I want to be able to make before summer is over, such as starting on my robot pants (Lagann), and the Simon Flood I mentioned a few entries ago. All that, however, takes money and time to do. I just get the bad feeling I'll regret not making the trip to Otakon just once.
I guess the fact that I'm deciding between the two shows, for one, that I look at cosplay as an end in itself, in addition to a way to have stuff I can wear to conventions.
...speaking of stuff to wear, I need to get dressed for work. >_>
