You remember how we removed all the grass from the front slope? So in Fall 2007, it looked like this. Then I did a lot of winter sowing, set out tiny seedlings in the spring and now it looks like this. I continue to update my plans for it, obviously, but at this point I feel I can declare it a success.

I am currently stunned by the cerulean star daylily. (Here's one with my hand for scale and any amateur palmreading you've been yearning to try)

Behold the wide-mouthed frog birdfeeder!
