Happy Cold Month!
So! It's been a month, and to my knowledge I haven't directly or indirectly killed anyone.
*pauses to listen for the angry mob* No torches on the horizon. No litigation in the mail.
I haven't missed melanoma's - that I know of, my procedures have gotten better, most people seem happy when they leave my office, and I think I'm learning new things being more on my own.
Not a lot of teaching going on, but uptodate is my friend in times of need. Actually they've got a mac, and it won't load on safari because it has to go through the NOSM website, so I got permission to download firefox. Google chrome won't download on a mac, from what my casual look revealed.
One of the doc's is all excited about the ipad. I don't know if it could run macmedical yet, but when it does I could totally be Beverly Crusher in truth - all I need is the blue coat!
I do like the program though, its far and away the best I've used yet, and I haven't heard to much good about ibm medical software. MacMedical isn't perfect, but its pretty easy to use and I can call up almost any information I want. It took a week to learn all the hot keys, but by now I'm pretty good with it.
Back in teaching today, learning the in's and out's of contraception. A good review, but nothing new and startling.
Had a full day yesterday trying to run around and get things done. Finally finally FINALLY ordered the Thank You cards for the wedding, which means I'm only 4 months late. Oops. But I've got a lot of excuses for being so delayed, and some of them even make sense. My cousin's in Italy will be happy to get something, at least, even if it is late.
But anyway its done and ordered and they will be here in 7-10 business days. Yays!
Also: am going to see Avatar in 3D today. Have seen in 2D when it came out and enjoyed it thoroughly. Made my little pagan heart glee. But we have some friends from Timmins - poor souls ;-) - who don't have a 3D theater and wanted to wait to see it. So! Big blue men again! :D
