In any case, figuring out domain name parking on my hosting service was pretty straight forward. Fortunately I set up the redirection so that raider3.com now directs to raider3.networkr3.com (The "new" version of my personal page.)
Oddly enough, my anime.net page is still in existence. I need to do something about that. I do thank Goemon for giving me a place call "home" nearly a decade and a half ago.
Still haven't resumed C/C++ study, but I have a feeling I'll have to, especially if I get serious about Javascript, and probably PHP. For now, I can manually install most script packages, and sometimes I have to, when Fantastico isn't up to snuff. (I do all my own website administration) Having the capability to run up to 200 MySQL databases is a lot more flexible than 5, same thing with 200 subdomains over 5.
I think I became a bit lazy. I'll either need to study CSS, or get in touch with someone who can figure it out. I'd like to customize and standardize the "look" of my sites, but I don't have the time to do everything by hand like I had in the past. I can still get into the nuts and bolts and write out HTML by hand, but most of the time, I use content management systems. (Makes it easier when I overhaul entire sites.) I started out with Drupal, but I'm migrating everything to WordPress.
In any case, I still pride myself on being able to handle most software and hardware issues on my own. If I EVER have to bring in any of my computers to any Geek Squad location, it would be an admission of failure. I do have my pride as a free-lance, self-taught geek. ^_^;
