Hey interblags, long time no see eh? I feel its about time I show that I am, in fact, alive. If just barely. But first I want to show you (hopefully you haven't seen it already) that made tears of laughter and cuteness stream down my face:
So my life in the last couple of weeks has been consumed with working on art projects for class, reading for Humanities, and watching Heroes while doing the former. I made it through the first two seasons in two weeks, then swiftly moved on to Veronica Mars. I really enjoy being able to paint and watch tv shows, its like goofing off and being constructive with my time at, ahem, the same time.
Things I may or may not have mentioned:
I won the t-shirt design contest for the bricks, for which the prize was either a sweatshirt or 50 dolla in Gold Points (an arbitrary system of purchasing things on campus like laundry or stuff at the bookstore.) I vaugely remember the design being a little shit-lly executed, and everyone gets a free shirt anyways, so I of course chose the money.
I decided to keep working at the theater (despite it killing me slowly) because i, in fact, like money. Also all the horrible people have been fired or quit and the new crop of employees seem like cool kids. Consequently, I've been promoted to something midway between floor staff and assistant manager. Basically, I don't have to wear the horrible uniform anymore, I get to boss people around, and i don't have to close anymore (also a raise). Then, if I choose, I can train to be an AM during the summer. I want to move on to higher paying, still soul-sucking office jobs but we saw how well that panned out last summer. I was going to work for PG&E as I prematurely stated, but since my dad is heavily considering quitting and opening a private consulting thing, that might now work out either. I've been scanning craigs list for administrative assistants (cough, secretaries cough) and it seems like San Rafael has prospects.
This friday, I'm FINALLY finally taking my license test. I debated for a while whether or not to announce this, because maybe I wanted to be like "SUR-PRIZE I AM DRIVER NOW" but then I thought "why not full disclosure." Its been awhile since I've really practiced, but I will do some cramming on thursday night and hopefully I won't have the shame of failing my driving test.
I have a term paper due next monday, so I'm gonna go get on that. See ya.
