And as for the denoument which was a

On the drive home just now, my husband and I ended up talking about Harry Potter.
While doing some casual Sorting-Hat discussion (My husband and I, both definitely Ravenclaws, put my elder brother as a Hufflepuff poster boy, my sister as a Gryffindor, and my younger brother as 'We're completely stumped.') I made the following generalization.
"Hufflepuffs look after What Needs Doing. Slytherins look after their own and themselves (Hufflepuffs look after their own too, but in a much different way). Gryffindors look after absolutely everything, particular includeding what's none of their business. Ravenclaws look up from something fascinating and say 'Hmm? Were you saying something?'"
