Hoping!!
Ok so... NFL free agency starts next Wed. and Randy Moss sure is going to the Raiders... however this morning, as I was smacking my alarm clock to make it stop its noises, I accidentally hit the sleep button and on came 1050 ESPN radio with Wally and the Keeg saying "the Jets are about to trade Santana Moss for Laveranues Coles". Tired as I was, my heart skipped a beat and I sat straight up in bed and went WHAT!?!! My roommate actually heard me say it and wondered what was going on bc she knew I was sleeping. Let's briefly address how Coles was my 2nd fav player on the team next to Chad, and I cried when he left in the '03 offseason. As much as I LOVE Moss, and wish he could stay too, I LOVE Coles and him and Chad were an amazing tandem. He was a huge part of Chad's Boy Wonder 2002 season. OH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GIVE US COLES!!!!!!!! If LC comes back to NY I will explode. Rumors are everywhere and most people seem to be saying this trade is gonna happen, but it's not official till Wed. and the 'skins need to assess their cap room. FURTHERMORE if this works out, the Jets get Coles back, only cheaper than before (only reason he left was bc he was too expensive) AND probably have money to pick up Derrick Mason or TJ Houshmanzadeh... I prefer Mason just bc he worked with Dinger in Tennessee and that'd be splendid. I feel it's a sign that I happened to accidentally turn on my radio AT the moment they were talking about Moss for Coles. Oh man... come on Bradway, BRING LAVERANUES HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
