I haven't paid much attention to the whole Puppies saga, aside from John Scalzi's tweets about it. Of the few details I caught, the most delightful one was that apparently a bunch of awards actually received a majority of votes for "No Award", because the Sad Puppies slate had managed to pack *all* the nominations in that category? Awesome. The people have spoken.
I was also one of the voters to give the puppies their well deserved blowback.
Their sour graping is reaching epic proportions now. I found Antonelli's bitter complaints about GRRM's Alfies the funniest soo far.
Martin did, what he had told them to do all along, made his own awards and celebrated stuff that was great the is year.
But of course when you are the puppies you cannot do that, because it was never about spreading the love for the stuff you find cool but just about sticking it to an imaginary enemy.
hee! Although, I am perturbed that they created an association between puppies and jerks. Puppies are very rarely jerks, and they're never fans of Ayn Rand. :p
