TOMORROW'S JUST ANOTHER YESTERDAY!

I've been doin' alot of sketching, but as far as gettin' projects done it's been a slow ride. With the boxing up of stuff, the aches n' pains and other distractions such as old non speaking ladies bumping into our car and wasting more of my time, not much seems to be gettin' done! It's like I've got some kind of "artists' block." It's frustrating, becasue I really need to get some things done so I have stuff to show when we get out to California. I really need to create some kind of "product" to sell, whether it's a comic book, calendar or something, but I'm having a real hard time staying focused.
Anyhoo- here's some random sketchies I've done over the past few weeks-

DEADLY SCORPION- from some of my fave Japanese series from the 70's.

MOKARRI from Jack Kirby's Fourth World series!

PLAZMO seducing yet another fine lady!

SPIDERMAN sticking to a wall.

Up late one night and sketched CRAIG FERGUSON. Not sure why.

Last night I peeled myself away from the sketchbook for a few hours and caught HARVEY PEKAR, writer of AMERICAN SPLENDOR comix at the local library and had him sign a book. He's as curmudgeony as expected. It was cool, though. He basically talked about his friendship with ROBERT CRUMB, his misadventures with DAVID LETTERMAN, and the making of the movie AMERICAN SPLENDOR. A regular guy, like most of us ,with our hang-ups, problems and struggling to get our creative stuff out there. So that added some much needed inspiration!

Back to the drawing board!

spiderman, harvey pekar, plazmo, jack kirby, ragzart
