TEENAGE WEENIE MEMORIEZ!

It'z about 12 minutes or so of a cheezy 70'z made for tv movie called "Cotton Candy" about a battle of the bandz contest.I remember actually watching this masterpiece of mush when it aired.I watched everything and anything to do with rock and roll back then,finding inspiration wherever I could to feed my dreamz of being a rockstar.Ya gotta remember,back then we didn't have MTV and VH1 and Fuse and all them music video channelz,we had to actually scrounge thru the tv guidez and hunt down rock n' roll movies and performances.Thank the Godz that were Don Kirshner'z Rock Concert and The Midnite Special,cuz without them,then moviez such az the drekkiness that iz "Cotton Candy" woulda been the best we got and the 80'z rocknrawl scene woulda been even worse than it turned out.Course "Cotton Candy" kinda remindz me of Weezer,so,perhapz the effects of these kinda flickz managed to seep into our subconcious anywayz.
And,hell,the band Rapid Fire,the one blowin' shit up at the end of the clip,wazn't too far from what the kind of stuff Strictly Taboo waz made of.Come to think of it,we WERE just az cocky az them.We never did "I Shot The Sheriff" but we did do a rawkous ultra sludgy version of "Cocaine".The song,not the drug.We weren't THAT much like Rapid Fire!
Anywhoo,it all started to gotz me thinking about other made for tv movies that would later inspire me to ROCK.One waz one that waz called "Sooner Or Later"-http://imdb.com/title/tt0079935/ which starred Rex Smith,brother of the singer for one of my all time fave bandz-Starz,who played a 17 year old rock musician who falls for a 13 year old girl played by
Denise Miller -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denise_Miller ,who I thought waz a hottie back in the day.
Sheesh,it waz a pretty mess for a rock n' roll movie.I remember it being a chicky flick and it didn't satisfy the need for RAWK.I think it spawned a hit single for Rex Smith too,a song called "You Take My Breath Away".

There were two other movies I remember seeing,but all the searching on the internet didn't come up with any resultz.
One waz about two Mexican kidz(I think)who saw a poster of the band Angel and started thier own group.One of the kidz wanted an outfit like Punky Meadows,
That'z all I remember of that one.
The other waz about wild teenz getting into thier usual trouble in the 70's.Afterschool Special type trouble.I recall ther being alot of music off of Cheap Tricks' first album on it,along with some toonz by The Runawayz.
Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about,please help an old man out.
