Dress Diary: Red Moselund Kirtle - the mistake geas
I noticed last evening that I sewed one of the long gores incorrectly, started to try to fix the problem, and then noticed that I was undoing the part that didn't need undoing. Ugh. So to make up for my last couple projects going so smoothly, this one has two major mistakes.
Today, I am fixing the problem by removing all the hemming stitches from the non-pieced gore. I'll iron it out flat again, and then hem it to the other side using the same linen thread I've just unpicked from those seams.
It just isn't a proper project without a drop of blood and a major screwup.
