Yay Vocabulary
revena gave me dirigible, carmine, orison and bolt. Yay! So I wrote dirigible and carmine and am tooling around with orison and bolt, mostly because orison is one of my favorites words. i want to take my time with it and in the spirit of making my brain be creative, I've decided to double up and include bolt in the orison drabble, which is fun but takes a little longer. I find drabbles totally awesome and hard to write because I find myself really working at saying what I want to say in that super condensed 'show don't tell' way that makes the whole excersise worth while. Anyway, blah, blah, blah. Robyn, dirigible and carmine came by and said hey, but didn't stick around to actually make it into either of their drabbles. They're there, they're just not there. I got a little art school with carmine, I think maybe.

Dirigible
There had been trips to the Continent, every other year or so, each time the euphoria from the last trip wore off and she found she was bored. Again. Paris had been a dream, Greece, spectacular, and St. Petersburg completely captured her attention. She decided she was taken with New York. It’s ever so much more sophisticated, my darling, perhaps next year? She wanted to see Fedelio at The Met and read an American newspaper. She took up an affair on the cruise with a man who built the most amazing things. She left a note saying "Life's looking up."
Carmine
The last of the light bounces around the buildings, reflecting and refracting off windshields and windows. A clear tone sounds the eight minute warning that everyone knew was coming. There are people who have resolutely carried on, the majority saying they’d rather keep busy than just wait. But everyone has stopped now, getting out of their cars and leaving the indoors to stand in the street, on rooftops, to watch.
