wasn't there a similar show two-five years ago about women getting radical surgeries to look good for their "men"...something called 'swan'?

It's not exactly a new show...which is even worse.

Yup, it was "The Swan." Some of the women were perfectly pretty before the surgery and afterwards looked like really bad drag queens.

I do not read this from the original comment at all. Your projecting makes me uncomfortable.

You would think E! would realize there was a reason Extreme Makeover got canned by ABC and why the Home Edition is still thriving.

Agreed, completely. While I think people should not be judged / shamed for their appearance, especially to the point where surgical procedures feel like the only option, I also don't think it's right to judge a grown adult for making a choice to do something they want to do with their body.

Yes, we can discuss how society as a whole puts this pressure on people, and should stop, but can we do it without disparaging people for their looks?

P.S. I ♥ you, pirate_faafy

I think it's the little imperfections that make us attractive. The world is going to be a very dull place if we all look alike.

I was more thinking that plastic surgery may over time create a new standard of "normal". I certainly agree with you that's not always the point of it, though.
