Today was an insanely busy day. I have no clue how I packed doing so much shit into 1 24hr period. I worked from 9 (well more like 9:15...LOL) until around 5:30. Work was insanely busy again, but I managed to keep up through it and not lose my mind completely. After work I raced home to the house I am housesitting at, let the dogs out, and changed. Then, I raced to the gym where I met up with
apollo18. After that, I raced back to the house to shower, change, let the dogs out again, and feed them. Then I flew over to pick up
apollo18.
We were short on time and were trying to drive as fast into PA as we could. It was around 8:15 and AC Moore, which is normally 1/2 hour away, was closing at 9:00. However, as my luck always is, we were stuck behind a damn UTZ Potatoe Chip tractor trailer FOREVER! We made up a haiku about the girl on the UTZ logo who seemed to me pretty damn happy that we had to stare at her mile after mile. See the pic of that EVIL UTZ girl along with the haiku below:
Damn Fucking UTZ Girl,
Get your hand out of the bag!
You make me hate chips.
Ahhhhh....yes, we are obsessed with writing haikus!
Anyways, back to the story. We FINALLY got away from the UTZ truck and made it to AC Moore literally 5 minutes before closing time. Needless to say we were running around the store like we were on a top secret spy mission so that we could get all the stuff we wanted within those 5 minutes. We got the basics, but we are going back tomorrow to drool over some more stuff, when we'll have more time. After AC Moore, we headed over to Wendy's to get something small to eat so we weren't STARVING anymore. It became apparent to
apollo18, which she in turn pointed out to me, that all the PA trash kids seem to hang out at the fast food places. I can uderstand hanging out at an all-night diner, but Wendy's!?!?!? C'mon now!
When we were finished eating, we headed over to the movie theater. We saw "Big Fish" with Ewan McGregor,
apollo18's biggest love. The movie was awesome. It was directed by Tim Burton, which means it's sure to be a treat. Going in, I only had a very faint idea what the movie was supposed to be like since the only trailer I remember seeing for it was the one I saw on the comp before leaving the house. I highly recommend it, and if you go, bring a pocket full of tissues for the ending.
We finished out evening off with a planned trip to the Hanover Diner where we saw our beloved Abraham, John, Gobin, and the usual PA trash kids. We wrote a whole bunch more haiku's there which should be posted tonight. We are going back up there tomorrow evening for some more PA trash study and lots more haikus. I am off of here for now and I will update tomorrow!
