The big spring cleaning of 2009

So, my office is moving to a smaller space and we are getting rid of a bunch of stuff. In order not to simply fill landfills, we are trying our best to find new homes for much of the stuff. I have listed on facebook and twitter some of the things as we discover what we have available, and some has been claimed already. However, I realized I needed to throw the net wider to include those who are more likely to see my post here, especially my school teacher friends, who I know can use all the help they can with supplies (even though school just let out for most of them). Yes, I realize there are organizations that will take a lot of this stuff and I welcome links to ones that are local enough to downtown San Francisco that they will pick-up from our office. If you are willing to take any of these items in order to donate them to the charity of your choice, that works too.

Some of the items that remain so far include:
Many:
3-ring binders
hanging file
folders binder clips (all three sizes, but especially small and medium)
paper clips
legal size paper
some letter size paper
Christmas ornaments (standard glass globes, in red, green silver, gold & blue)
CD slim cases

Several:
Tape dispensers
document sorters
mouse pads

We also have some toner cartridges for color laser printers we no longer own, that are listed on craigslist. They are listed with a price, but really, if not one has purchased them yet and you come pick them up, I will give them to you.

Tektronix http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/sys/1226247971.html

There is also some very nice office furniture for sale (work station desks, filing cabinets credenzas). My boss has not set a price yet, but I will be posting those on craigslist as well. If it is something you might be interested in, let me know and I will be sure to point you toward the listing once it is posted.
