overdue for an update
-- it's been a while, and a wild two weeks.
-- this weekend, to summarize a long story, i swapped to a new photographer for the wedding. i'm really excited about it. see cary's work at www.theordinary.org/weddings.
-- i totally went to the "girl doctor" yesterday, and i am now on oral contraceptives. weird!! i'm getting married!!
-- in general, it's tricky to find time for school, summer plans, work, & all the music i'm trying to do. it's also really fun.
-- sunday, my old little methodist church had us over for lunch. i wasn't expecting to get much out of the service, but it turned out to be awesome. the speaker was a lay person from another church, and he was well-spoken and in love with the Lord. he talked about repentance and the gospel outlined in the parable of the prodigal son. at lunch, the ladies had a cake for me & jamie. i thought it was so thoughtful of them. it was our first official engagement celebration. the thing that almost made me cry is that nila, one of the oldest ladies there, gave us a present: a lazy susan that she didn't really use anymore. we're totally going to use it.
