So last night me and Keet tore everything off of my engine. After we pulled the lifters out, we found what had been causing the tick, and why the tick stopped. The tick was caused when one of the lifters failed and the bottom of it went from flat to concave by about 2mm. This then wore down that lobe of the cam shaft until it was a circle.
