In 2004, when I almost defaulted on my student loans, I made a very scared phone call to the Federal Student Loans people. The very nice girl on the other end of that phone call moved all of my unpaid payments to the back of my student loans, setting me back in good standing with the Direct Loans people, lowered my payments to about $100 a month ( ( Read more... )
