Directed to the Muse...
Dear Muse...
You are coming dangerously close to being fired.
Taunting me with a compelling idea, helping me pull together a few of the details, then dancing delightfully out of reach until I'm in the muzzy, half awake state that directly proceeds me actually falling asleep at 2 to 3am over the weekend is unacceptable.
If I am tired, I cannot write. If I try to force myself to write while tired, it comes out in a muddled mess. I know this. I've seen the results. I realize, part of this is me fighting my nature, which is to stay awake late. On the other hand, my muse, if I am to stay employed I really do have to get up at 6am during the week... which means that being awake until 5am... which, yes, I know you like to see the sunrise before going to sleep as well... is really not an option unless I want to destroy any chance of restful sleep _during_ the week.
So please... my muse... for both of our sakes... work with me a little. Help me out with the timing. Just a little.
