LJ Upkeep & That FaceBook Thing...
Dear My Friends LJ Friends...
Face Book has a place. I use it, on a daily to every few days basis, to throw out a little something that happens to be rattling around in my head. One to five sentence this or that that's really fluff and nothing else. If I'm feeling the need to say anything with serious substance to it, I'll still be inclined to do it here.
Face Book and little thoughts? Sure.
Face Book and long meandering ones, the likes of which I'm occasionally prone to, not so much.
It wants so badly to be conversational...
On to what lead me to posting here this morning, though...
I'm feeling the need to overhaul LJ. That means I'm about to go into my friends list and start tinkering. I've got some friends in there that I haven't seen anything out of in forever. A few of them that I don't remember who they are, or why I friended them in the first place. A number of these are likely to go. If you're one of them, and you lurk and read, and you want me to keep you around... please tell me. I don't mind peeps watching. I'm just trying to put the house in order.
I also have a number of cuts. I use friends groups liberally... but those are going to be getting a shifting around based on actual interest in what I'm posting. They are...
Recipes - Literally where I post up recipes that last_bastion and I enjoy.
Body Dis & Dat - Want to hear me talk about dieting and my general health? Occasional TMI.
Cam - Specifically for those who are part of the Camarilla. I post pictures of Cam events, and talk about what fun I had at them, mostly.
Work - This one's my discretion... I talk about my job here, and frustrations related to it.
I also enjoy creative writing as relates to my characters and/or roleplaying experiences. However, I don't want to bombard people who aren't interested in my creative writing or my characters with it. So I'm going to be setting up a couple of cuts under which I'll post that writing. These are definitely opt in filters. You'll need to let me know if you want onto them.
Cam Creative - Will be for Mary, and Boxer, and whatever else I happen to make. This one's discretionary, and interest may or may not result in on being on it.
Gaming Creative - Will be for everything else.
