Summary:
Sleeping Jinki and Comme des makes a lovely sight in the morning.
‘Chicken….’
The young man softly mumbled in his sleep, only his head visible among the sea of blue covers. His forehead glistened with sweat with the warmth of the morning sun and his layers of blanket. He frowned and tossed about in his sleep as his dream of chicken faded to dogs.
Dogs?
The loud yelps of a dog in his dream sounded a little too close, too familiar.
In his sleepiness, the idol finally decided to stretch his arms and fumble around to search for a certain mop of fur that is around the bedside. After a while of fruitless searching however, he drifted back to sleep and left his hand hanging loosely by the bedside. Almost immediately, he jerked awake again when he felt soft paws swiping at his hands and heard louder whines coming from somewhere lower than him.
Jinki huffed and turned to his sides and lazily opened his eyes. He laughed coarsely when he saw short flashes of brown fur appearing beside his bed. Comme des had started jumping about excitedly on the floor in an attempt to get his owner’s attention.
“I’m glad I bought a tall bed that you can’t jump on to. If not you’ll be stepping all over me every morning.” Jinki mumbled as he reached over to carry the dog onto his bed. Once on the bed, the dog yelped happily and licked all over Jinki’s face as morning greeting. ‘That tickles!’ Jinki laughed as he patted the puppy and shifted it lower to his tummy. The puppy continued to wag his tail even as Jinki continued his careless petting that almost poked the poor puppy in the eye.
“You know you’re supposed to be Kibum’s present, not Jinkibum’s. In fact, you’re not supposed to be Jinki’s so why do you enjoy disturbing me every morning and not Kibum? You’re becoming like Kibum. Oh wait, maybe you are confused about the scent of Kibum on Jonghyun and decided to just stick to me instead?” Jinki wondered aloud to the puppy that was lying down and yawning as the continuous patting lulled it back to sleep.
Soon, thinking proved to be too tiring for Jinki as he felt his eyelids drooping and his patting ceased but the puppy had already dozed off on the man’s stomach.
Half an hour later, Kibum barged into the leader’s room, ready to holler at the eldest when he stopped at the cute sight infront of him.
‘Comme des ah! You’re supposed to help me wake Jinki-hyung, not fall asleep together with him! Now I can’t decide whether to wake you two cuties up...’ Kibum debated for a while and finally decided to leave the two for another half an hour.
