And you gonna flip when Old Saint Nick
Lays a lick on the peppermint stick
He come a-flyin' from a higher place
He'll fill the stockings by the fire place
So you'll
Have a Yule that's cool!
- "Cool Yule" - Louis Armstrong
First off, got my grades!
Spanish Readings: A- (%_%, wow, yay!)
Anthro: A (YES! I thought that was an A- for sure.)
Psych111: A- (hahaha, yeah!)
Russian Lit: A+ (A+??? They still DO that in college?)
Hahaha, you have no idea how stoked I am. ^_^ I was sure I was getting at least one "B" this semester... I survived the semester from hell, and look how I came out! %_% I'm amazed. *Pats herself on the back* Hurrah for me. This also proves my theory that you don't HAVE to read every single thing a teacher hands you, 'cause I'll tell you right now that I didn't read two of the four books we were assigned for Anthro. (I read about a third of each of those two.) But what I'm happiest about (oddly enough) is my Russian Lit. grade. I wanted to take that class from back in the summer before my Freshman year, when I saw it and thought it sounded awesome. To come through it with such high marks really makes me feel good about myself, but it also shows me that I really grasped what she was showing us about Russian literature and culture.
I'm also in such a cheerful mood because I just got the last of the Christmas shopping done... Well, except for the Diane. I have part of her gift, but I just couldn't find much I liked for her. And everything I thought was REALLY cute was not in her size (Murphy's Law). She got me some really cute stuff, so I'd love to find her some stuff I really adore, too. Maybe I'll go shopping in AA when I get back.
Tomorrow is cookie baking time with Auntie and my model cousin! I'm not sure what they have planned, but I might bring stuff to make my white chocolate cranberry oatmeal cookies... those things rock. Though this time I will remember to use brown sugar, not white. :P (I can cook... I promise... ask Di. :P)
Now I'm chilling by the Christmas tree, listening to David Benoit's "Carol of the Bells" (the one from the Victoria Secret Christmas commercials. Jen, you MUST get this song!) Very jazzy. Very comfy. Ahhh, it's great to be home for Christmas.
