"Watergate" was the name of the hotel.
"Whitewatergate" made at least groan-worthy sense as a pun.
Everything since has just been asinine and meaningless.

...so is the appellation of "gate" to FUCKING EVERYTHING as a virtually meaningless suffix "gategate"?

I am writing to voice my concern at your decision to refer to a television show in which Ted Nugent hunts contestants in the woods as "reality television"--unless this is, in fact, what your reality is like, in which case you have my sincere, if somewhat bewildered, condolences.
