Quick update for LJ

Fan whirring…

I haven’t updated LJ at all, so a short note here would be good. Ever since moving into my apartment, I’ve had no internet so I’d been stranded to go to Coffee Bean nearly every day of my long vacation (Chinese National Holiday) for free wi-fi there. I missed Miyata’s birthday too, which makes me very very sad, and even after I’ll ( Read more... )

Ah....other than the food, I'd be weary working in China. Somehow their process is just...hmmm...unreliable. I guess my opinion of Chinese operations is still quite low....

I like Sui Long Bao ^^ Yay!!!!

I've visited Shanghai before, but I nearly got locked in some tourist attraction b/c I was lost. Then there was the food poisoning incident...sigh~

Hopefully, I will have some vacation time soon and I can visit HK (I last visited back in 2003...). Need to reload on manga + novels!

I don't like Chinese food, actually. XD And the process of getting work permit and visa is annoying, but work itself is great here.. then again, it's run by American people mainly...

I do too haha~

I'm surprised I'm not as lost as I could be 8D Then again, I bought a bike and have been staring at a map for ages.

Do tell me WAY ahead of time if you go to HK, I can't just hop off to HK when I'm working here! 8D

Frankly, Chinese government scares me!!! I don't know what they do over there....and their processes just make me question everything.

I don't think I can go to HK until 2010 at least! I need to go back to update my HKID card and my driver's license. Good thing I still have a place to live there....though the stray cats I was caring for are all...well....gone. If we go back to HK together, we must shop!!!!!! Sogo, Mitsukoshi, Jusco!

Frankly, same here. A ton of websites I use are now unavailable, among them being Facebook, Twitter, Picasa, my own goddamn webmail. =_= Meh.

Ahh okay, well when you do, tell me :P!!! I need to do cheaper shopping than that though, I need to hit the streets... haha~~

Yup, China is a detox for internet. ::headdesk:: An unwanted detox but oh well, guess it's for the best. I'm never on LJ anymore, I mean, I never quite was but now I really don't come on LJ because I'm so busy with work and my downtime rarely involves doing things online now. I've been good though! Been here for 3 months now! The apartment definitely looks like it's in Asia huh, haha~~ I'm taking chinese lessons twice a week (well, when my tutor doesn't vanish on me that is) but it's progressing incredibly slowly, in fact, my knowledge is still limited to my usual cantonese. SIGH! I'm in Shanghai, by the way, and I can't get around so I don't even know about dvds and manga! Well I can't read chinese so that's still a problem. I keep wishing that I'd run into something seiyuu related eventually hehe ( ... )
