Quick update for LJ

I haven’t updated LJ at all, so a short note here would be good. Ever since moving into my apartment, I’ve had no internet so I’d been stranded to go to Coffee Bean nearly every day of my long vacation (Chinese National Holiday) for free wi-fi there. I missed Miyata’s birthday too, which makes me very very sad, and even after I’ll get internet this weekend (HOPEFULLY ARGH), I still don’t have the resources to make up for it. ::sob:: At least I got Seki’s birthday post down, right? I’m still devastated at the loss of my backup hdd before I left the States, which rendered me with nearly no programs especially now that I’m using a new PC. Oh, did I mention that his name is Shirogane&Tomomori? X_X;; Yeah. Shirogane’s the Mac partition and Tomomori’s the Windows partition, ahaha.
As far as work goes, it hasn’t been so many days yet, because of this weirdly long vacation, and since I was put up to finish a rush project, I haven’t had much training on the engine I’ll be using for the main project yet. I’m waiting for my supervisor to free up, but unfortunately he’s super busy. Our department is rather… small. 8D I’m so excited about this job still, like I haven’t really quite begun yet. I still need to process my legal documents, actually, but can’t do that until Thursday. When I start the process, however, I’ll be able to go home for a few days. 8D Yayyy family! YAY FOOD OMG FOOD!
It still feels surreal that I’m here, that I actually flew halfway across the world for a job, to a place where I can’t speak the language. Yet, I couldn’t be happier. The weather’s getting cold fast, I went from wearing normal t-shirts to wearing two shirts and a jacket. Welcome to my first dose of winter since I was five, I guess. XD
