I heard these rumors about Sub5, but it only had a short snippet of cast names with their characters and there was no script to be found. There was a small description of what the movie was going to be about and who some of the characters were, which was interesting. Is there a beginning of a script for it out there somewhere? I doubt the film will ever happen. I read that it was to be released in 99, then 2001 then 2005. The most recent release year for the film to be done and ready for an audience was around 2005. And if it does ever come into being... it will probably end up as a 'straight to dvd' release b/c of budget and popularity. (or lack thereof.)
Wow, I'd never even heard the 2005 thing; I know Charles Band will bring it up periodically, but I think it's merely to keep Subspecies fen paying attention in the hopes we'll latch onto something else. If he had any rights to it, do you honestly think he'd have refrained from putting at least the critters in another movie? Or making seven bazillion different action figures? :)
Still, there's been enough talk about it that I don't think there's any reason to doubt a script exists; someone in the cast or crew may throw us a bone one day. (A girl can dream, anyway!)

Funny you should mention the shooting locations, though. As soon as I have time to make some screencaps and work up the nerve to display my intense nerdiness to the internet in all its glory, I am going to make a "Castle Vladislas - wtf?" post. :)
Has anyone thought of doing a movie before? I mean we all keep waiting for SubV to come and thats never going to happen. We are the only real fandom that I know about thats interested in doing something. It's the thought that counts.
Fan films aren't too uncommon, though they seem to mostly be the purview of film students, for obvious reasons; some of them even look fairly high budget. (Freddy Vs. Ghostbusters and Batman: Dead End are two of the better ones I've seen, though it's not really something I pay attention to.) Fans of Star Trek: Enterprise launched a big campaign to raise funds to get another season made; I believe they actually raised a million or so, though nothing came of it.

Chapter seven has been finished for a while, but I didn't have the time to post, etc. I'll have more time now-a-days to post it soon. Sorry about that. Chapter six was a bundle. :) Yes I know how dead its been here, but from experience patience is a virtue and things will come around soon. By the way, since you mentioned it, do you know when the ffawards are? The last one was great. :) Have you been working on fanfic too?

Short of a script for V turning up, I can't imagine we'll ever get a firm answer... but they do say the history books are written by the winners.
