1. I have diabetes. I havent tested my blood sugar in a long time because i couldnt draw enough blood, and the tester would only give me an error message. Finally, this past saturday i got a reading-my blood sugar was FUCKING 400.

Holy Shit!

Good luck with that - it's usually taken me about a week to get used to a reduced sugar diet, feeling crappy all the way.

Once I'm off it I definitely feel much better, but the cold turkey means I spend all of my time feeling low on energy and craving carbs for the first while.

Nobody ever said complex carbs were bad! Because I'm vegan, I don't eat animal products so I fill the hole-so to speak-with high-protein plants in addition to the green leafies.

It's also soup season, so it's great to start a pot of vegetable soup right about now.

yeah, i cant do vegan, id starve to death. introducing broccoli and carrots into my diet, just tjat is a huge change. and i dont eat soup.

yeah, i feel shitty. Ive only went off the sugar for a week, and even then still like a spoonful or two. Tommorow will be the first day with zero sugar at all.
