Family - Build a calm and nurturing homelife with JJ.
Thats pretty simple really, unlike my parental home, I want our flat to always be calm, peaceful, tidy and creative. I would like to think I have a natural predisposition to this kind of atmosphere so it shouldnt be too hard. J just saw this one and cried, cute!
Social - Say yes/attend every social function Im invited to.
I think this is going to be difficult and its one of those resolutions when Im gonna really try for it but not expect to do it all. I get alot of double bookings socially so obviously thats a failing point but its the attitude rather than the outcome.Hopefully this will rectify not seeing certain groups of friends so much.
Spiritual/Emotional - Maintain a PMA, especially at work.
Another unquantifiable one. I found it really hard to come up with either of these ones because I am neither spiritual or emotional, I also think that Im pretty sorted in my headspace so that it doesnt need much more work to it. I would like to be nicer so this is nicely encapsulated in maintaining a positive mental attitude; towards others and about situations.
Property - Move in with JJ.
Should be ticked off pretty sharpish.
Physical - Join the gym and attend three times per week.
I used to do this while I was at uni, and now I can drive and the gym at work is £60 per year I have no excuse.
Mental - Read one book per week. 0/52
I really have let reading fall by the wayside a bit and its bad, Im a voracious reader usually, Ive just been so stupidly busy this year. Its such a perfect way of honing the mind and I really do feel more quick mentally when I have been reading alot. I thought work was making me stupid and it probably is, this should fix it. Im gonna try read widely as I can. Ive also started reading books and then leaving them places people should find them, sort of chairty in action, I like to leave books on public transport, waiting rooms, etc. So I wanna continue doing that also, I really dont think having a library of a million books is worth it any longer, books are special but I'd much rather someone else was reading them then they were all up in my grill. If I mention Im reading a book you would like, please ask for it!
Self-Developmental - Continue to learn Chinese.

Money and Finance - 1k in emergency fund (ISA), 1K saved for a nice car (ISA 2), 2k in the 'future fund'. Continue keeping a spending diary.
In August I started keeping a spending diary and this has literally revolutionised my spending, I think everyone should do it. Im quite thrifty already, I spend time looking for the best deals and Im not in debt (well...£100 on my credit card but thats 0% APR for 12 months), so Im kinda sorted. I already have a couple K saved but this will soon be decimated by buying/insuring a car and deposit on the flat so 2010 really will be a clean slate. I plan to help my savings with ebay and car-booting.
Career/Work - Apply for some new jobs/Continue asking for random training at work.
Im so fed up of nightshifts Im trying to find another job. Im the meantime Im signing myself for whatever training I can get on. Strings to the bow and all that.
I love setting myself challenges, Im such a nerd. In other news Im watching 'The Big Fat Quiz of the Year' and it doesnt have Johnathon Ross or Russel Brand on it as advertised? Did I imagine that or? Halp! Happy New year!
