Dear Boskone members,

The Saturday of Boskone 46 falls on Valentine's Day. If you are interested in dining with your sweetie, or with a group of friends, you might need to make reservations. Printed copies of the updated restaurant guide, as well as binders with sample menus, will be available at the Information desk. The restaurant guide  is online and we’re working on getting the website listings updated.

There are new area restaurants for you to try. Two are in the hotel: M.J. O'Connors, an Irish-style pub  and the sleek and sophisticated City Bar .

Others are within a fifteen minute walk: from chef and restaurateur, Barbara Lynch, there's Drink and Sportello; there's also restaurateur Michael Schlow's 606 , easy to find at 606 Congress St. in the Renaissance Hotel; and for those hankering a steak, there's a Morton's Steakhouse.

Three restaurants are providing discounts to Boskone members (limited; dine in only; you must show your Boskone badge.

The first is Channel Cafe .  This moderately priced sit down restaurant is located in an Artist Co-op building with an attached Gallery. It offers a diverse international menu with many daily specials. Located at 300 Summer Street, it's a 5-7 minute walk from the Westin. They are offering a 10% off dinner entrees on Thursday and Friday nights with a Boskone registration badge. A very special Valentine's Day party is planned on Saturday the 14th with live Burlesque and music. They also have a $10 Burger and a Draft Special from 5-7pm Thursday- Saturday. The second is Salvatore's. This Italian restaurant has full service restaurant with separate reception for take-out and delivery at 225 Northern Ave. Gluten free pasta and vegan preparations are available on request and they will deliver to area hotels. For the budget-conscious with many friends, they offer a hefty three pound pizza. Salvatore's will gladly offer 10% off the dinner menu to attendees who present their Boskone registration badge when dining at the restaurant. They are offering a special six course Valentine's dinner for $45 per person. Lunch ranges from $4-$8; Dinner ranges from $7-$2.
