Wow. Barack Obama is amazing. I must say, his speech blew me away, he is an amazing speaker, and I predict (and hope, oh yes, very much hope) that he is president in 2016 ( Read more... )

well seeing as the united states only allows two candidates of opposing sides to run against each other, and you happen to think that both of them "suck" and are "dick"s, who exactly do you reckon could take on the role of being the president at this moment in time?

there are thousands of green party canidates who probably would have the guts to represent their own politics, instead of the politics of their party. Emma, the reason why im so pissed off, is because becoming president isnt about standing up for what you believe in. Its about lying, its about changing your own beliefs just to get elected, its about doing whats "politically correct", its about special interest, its about doing what looks good. The bid for presidence has lost its sincerity. Its been turned into a game, in which players shoot, cheat, and yell to get to the top. At least in mainstream politics, Ralph Nader seems like a man who does what he believes, not what others want of him. I think hed be a good president, some who doesnt bullshit. Kerry, and i think many can agree with me, seems like just another push-over democrat. Look at his Running mate. Edwards was only choosen because he brings in MORE votes. Not more ideas. Not more initiative. Not more balls. Just votes. And you can argue thats just the nature of the bi- ( ... )

Through discussions with my family, we've come to this conclusion; this years election is really not an "election" at all. It's not that Kerry fufills all the needs we have for this country, it's that he fufills more of them. A lot of people want to vote for Nader, to let him know he's supported, and that his ideas are valued. However, our country has become a two-party country, and in this election it's all about being practical. People aren't voting FOR Kerry, they're voting AGAINST Bush. And, as sad as it is to think that we only can choose between these two men to represent our county, we must realize that this is how it's gonna be this year, and we have to work on getting Bush OUT OF OFFICE! I think we can all agree that Kerry is more qualified for the job than Bush, and, hell, I'd much rather have Edwards than Cheney anyday. I mean, who the hell wants two uneducated, lying pricks running our country. And although, Wali, you say that Kerry's politics aren't much different than Bush's, let me ask you; why is it, then, that if ( ... )

no caroline i think you got the wrong message. If i was given a choice to vote, id vote for kerry because ANYONE BUT BUSH 04. But the problem is, that its become about choosing the least rotten fruit. Not about choosing a ripe one. IF you get my drift.

i agree with you wali, i said that people aren't voting for the democratic party necessarily because they think that it's the right choice, they're voting to get bush out of office.

wali, i agree. the majority of politicians are arse holes, because the sort of people that become presidents USUALLY demand a lot of power which MAY lead to corruption. i dont know enough about the green party to agree or disagree with you.
what i'm saying is that right now, the green party isn;t being elected for the white house. there is no candidate from the green party being elected for president. i understand why you're pissed. you hate authority,so yes, i understand.
but why do you have to look at it so negatively?
just answer this question. who would you rather be your president.....bush or kerry?

EMMAMMAMMAMAMAMMAMAMMAMMAMAMMA. i have to look at it so negatively, because there is nothing positive coming out. fine emma. you pined me. ill vote for kerry, but that isnt anything to be excited about.

wali wali wali wali
you plinka, wali. you wolly
its not about looking at it negativly or positivly around politics. but a generaly rule of life. my mum always says, " if its inevitable, enjoy it". meaning if its going to happen and theres nothing you can do it, you might as well look on the bright side.
ok so the 2 candidates up for the running you dont like. but no one from the green party is being elected, and neither is michael moore nor ghandi, so you can look at it in 2 ways.
negative: the arsehole will still be in the white house or someone who i dont like will take his place
positive: that mutha fucka could get out the white house. sure the guy who'll take his place isn't my cup-o-tea, but hes better than that arsehole who has been running my country for the past 4 years
