Wow. Barack Obama is amazing. I must say, his speech blew me away, he is an amazing speaker, and I predict (and hope, oh yes, very much hope) that he is president in 2016

Through discussions with my family, we've come to this conclusion; this years election is really not an "election" at all. It's not that Kerry fufills all the needs we have for this country, it's that he fufills more of them. A lot of people want to vote for Nader, to let him know he's supported, and that his ideas are valued. However, our country has become a two-party country, and in this election it's all about being practical. People aren't voting FOR Kerry, they're voting AGAINST Bush. And, as sad as it is to think that we only can choose between these two men to represent our county, we must realize that this is how it's gonna be this year, and we have to work on getting Bush OUT OF OFFICE! I think we can all agree that Kerry is more qualified for the job than Bush, and, hell, I'd much rather have Edwards than Cheney anyday. I mean, who the hell wants two uneducated, lying pricks running our country. And although, Wali, you say that Kerry's politics aren't much different than Bush's, let me ask you; why is it, then, that if Kerry is elected, I (and all women) won't have to fight the White House for power over our own bodies?
no caroline i think you got the wrong message. If i was given a choice to vote, id vote for kerry because ANYONE BUT BUSH 04. But the problem is, that its become about choosing the least rotten fruit. Not about choosing a ripe one. IF you get my drift.
i agree with you wali, i said that people aren't voting for the democratic party necessarily because they think that it's the right choice, they're voting to get bush out of office.
