So I'm officially out of Ritsumeikan University's SKP [Study in Kyoto Program] and one day from leaving Japan, for the time being, for an undetermined amount of time. It's eerie sitting in the now empty apartment that I've lived in since September of last year. I'm both apprehensive about leaving Japan yet anxious to get back home, with makes me feel even more conflicted. For one thing I'm longing to be free of this feeling of Limbo that I started experiencing ever since I began saying goodbye to people, where I'm virtually between two countries.
The last few weeks have been wonderful though, I went to a training camp with the softball circle, we celebrated my birthday down by Kamogawa (the river in Kyoto) with fireworks, went to Kyushu & Korea, visited my host family and spent a day at Nagashima Spaland's Amusement Park riding crazy roller-coasters! Now I'm just doing the stretch of frenzy packing and battling the heavy luggage. Going to spend my last night in Osaka since I'm moving out of my apartment today after I've payed the last electricity bill and given away the last of my not-bringing-home stuff.
Wish me luck, and I'll see you once I'm on steady ground again over there!
So Japan.... So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish! It's been a good year. お疲れ様!
