...I just realized something (most possibly) trivial.
Tomorrow is my birthday.
Shit.
I've known that it was drawing closer, but I didn't really realized that it was actually gonna happen.
This must sound so stupid. It's a birthday, of course it happens sooner or later...
anyway
it's been a while since I updated so I figured that I should make a small rundown on the stuff happening right now. Trivial stuff are the easiest to pin-point, so I'll go with that. And some kansai stuff...?
Tennis; Our tennis club is participating in a championship. I've got a new doubles partner, and we get along pretty well. Today's matches weren't too impressive score-wise, but I felt like I grew alot during the matches and could (although we lost) manage some pretty impressive volley play in the last match. I'm still far from being Inui-chan, but as long as it's fun! ...I'm not much of a competitor. Tomorrow is another tournament and we'll do our best!! ...And I forgot to mention that I now am the pride owner of Gunko/this years tennis uniform!
Climbing; Me and my host siblings are climbing Mt. Fuji on my birthday! :D I'll be sure to take loads of pictures!! If we're lucky we get to see the sun rise from the top of the mountain. I intend to sleep on the bus there, after playing tennis the entire day and probably not sleeping much from anticipation it'll be a bit stupid trying to climb a mountain without rest. Just too Awesome!
Tokyo; ...As if this isn't enough... I hope to get to Tokyo on the 7th's aswell. I just need the OK from YFU to go and then it's all set.
Baseball; Is so big here that it's impossible to not get interested. Hanshin Tigers!!! My school isn't the strongest around here (leave that to TENRI; a private school, which only lets "good players" enter it's baseball club), but we're not private so... still Gunko has gone to Koshien a couple of times. This year we lost to tenri, but I got to see all the matches so I'm happy. Everyone complains that Gunko is weak this year, but they made it into seed and played pretty well. I love watching their training from the tennis courts during the breaks. When they do warm-ups it's pretty powerful, even freshmen (there are like 40 of them!! o.o) seem pretty impressive from afar. Even though I have a hate-love relationship with the baseball club, cause I just think it's toooo kibishii. ...But I guess that's part of the charm?
Sleepover; We still haven't set the day. But I'll definitely skip club one day to go have a sleep-over at Kana. We've been planning this for so long. That and going to festival. We'll probably go to the big one on the 13th cause that thing is seemingly great.
Culture festival; Right now so not looking forward to. I have to hold a speech about Sweden. In front of roughly 2-3000 people. Yay. In my wonderfully, pretty, kansai-dialectified Japanese. But since it's all very formal I'll just keep to that and try to not say anything too stupid. Although I might have already agreed to something stupid... Do a play about foreigners mistakes while in Japan (ideas are welcome!!!) ...and....... singing the national anthem..... ._. Ahem.
Kansai; Yes kansai has a crazy dialect. Yes it has the wildest intonations you couldn't ever guess. Yes they change most d's into y's, which means "da" and "darou" is pronounced "ya" "yarou". Also stuff like "samui" is usually said "sabui" and... yeah I could keep going for a while. But I intent do to a list for that later! You also won't get in trouble if you're a girl and say stuff like "(ka)naa" "yarouuu" "verb-rou/zo/ze" and surely numerous of other "boyish" terms. (mention one and we'll see :3). I don't know about the rest of Japan, I'm sure it's getting more usual amongst the younger generation. Further more, it's not considered girlish to say "wa" as a sentences ending particle... many guys use this A LOT. If there is something unclear, do ask! Any kansai/osaka-ben questions are more than welcome~!
Time; Is said to be precious. Which is why if I don't sleep now... I won't wake up. x_x With that... oyasumi!
