5 Fun Things about my Job

1. My wrapping skills are becoming stellar. I have always been teased that my wrapping is not up to par, so given some paper, I may be inclined to wrap items in your house to your delight.

2. I learned what a "Webkinz" is and that we sell them like hot cakes. These are stuffed animals that you can "activate" online and then care for virtually. I_don't_get_it, but I like all the pleased kids who buy them.

3. It's adorable to watch kids use their allowance and try and decide what to buy and count out their money. It's wonderful to get a glimpse into my possible future with Finn. At what age do allowances start anyway?

4. I've fallen in love with neat-o girl gifts and I must strap myself down to keep from buying the little girls in my life these precious things. Oh and I'm not talking about "Runway Challenge"... that... that is another story. ;)

5. I love the high of helping someone find the product that they want. It's best when they start with a vision, "He's 4; he likes dramatic play, but his mom says he's not as into Legos; I want something he can relate to that is of quality" and on and on. In this case, I helped her find a Playmobil City Set.

Maybe consumerism isn't so bad. I enjoy my manager and the joking we do together. I respond well to her methods of teaching me how to work in the store. In short, I'm up on the job this week.

I'm feeling less sick, which helps as well. No more aching. Shwwww. I'm so ready to not be sick again... ever, right?
